Continue To Represent The Students Constituency Well, OYSCATECH Rector Charges NANS Leaders~NEWSEXTRA




The Acting Rector of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Oyo State played host to the Southwest leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS Zone D) led by the Deputy Coordinator of the zone, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman. 

The Deputy Coordinator of the zone led a delegation of Southwest Student Leaders on a courtesy visitation to the institution. 

Comrade Uthman commended the institution management under the indefatigable Rector, Mr. Isiaka Adekunle for his relentless efforts in ensuring the growth and development of the institution and his fatherly support and gesture to the students of the college.

The Deputy Coordinator in his presentation charged the management of the institution to look vastly into the welfarism of the students as it is so much paramount to the leadership of the association. 



He urged the management to ensure Nigerian students on campus are in a better and conducive educational environment with adequate necessities.

Security of the students were also discussed at the meeting with the management as it is germane to ensuring that the lives and properties of our members are safe and the reputation of the school remains intact. 

Comrade Uthman also implored the institution management to look into the infrastructural aspect, the improvement of the facilities at the college medical center, provision of a 21st century SUG Secretariat, hostel accommodation on campus and good lecturing facilities.

He however charged the students leaders on campus to stay away completely from drug abuse, rape, cultism and the likes, saying that the students body has zero tolerance for these social vices.

The Acting Rector, Mr. I.O Adekunle on behalf of the entire management in his remarks appreciated the Southwest leadership of the Students body for taking their time to visit the college at this pressing period and also promised to work assiduously and look into the issues the association brought forward to the management of the institution.

The Rector of the College advised the delegation to be of good conduct and take their academic activities which is their primary aim on their respective campus as priority.

Also speaking, Dean Students Affairs,  Dr. Wasiu Kolawole admonished the leadership of Nigerian students in Southwest to protect and continue to agitate for the welfarism of their members. 

He advised the students leaders to always organize leadership summit, seminars, orientation and re-orientation programs for students leaders on campus as this will always guide them after receiving mantle of leadership on each campus.

The SUG President of the college,  Comrade Oyewumi Festus also appreciated the mother organization for visiting his campus and agitating for the welfare and better conducive atmosphere for learning for students of the institution.
