Ramond FC Battles Ex Super Eagles, Haruna Lukman's Led All Star Team In Football Cracker~NEWSEXTRA

Come Tuesday 15th December, 2020, all road leads to Alade Mini Stadium in Command Area of Lagos State, as Ramond International Football Club would trade tackles with an All Star Team comprising of Ex-Internationals that have played for the Nigeria National team at different levels.

The match which is arranged to put the Ramond FC players in good shape as they prepare for an International tournament at the United Arab Emirates later this month.

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Haruna Lukman, is an integral of part of the All Star Team, and has spoken ahead of the match, assuring his teeming fans that victory is guaranteed. 

Lukman like all other players in the All Star Team have featured for the National Team at various levels, but are presently unattached to a particular Club. But the need to be in proper shape and been fit brought about the origin of the team.

It would be recalled that Lukman played for the National Team at the age grade competition, Captaining the Golden Eaglets to the 2007 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in South Korea and the Flying Eagles to the 2009 FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Egypt.

He also played for the Olympic Under 23 Eagles and also part of the team to 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The Chairman of Ramond International Football Club, Oluwaremilekun Adebanjo, said that he held the match in high esteem because it would build confidence in his players as it would be a great honour for them playing against former National team players.

Adebanjo added that the match would afford his players the opportunity to have that morale boosting mindset that they too can attain top position and also play for the National team one day.

"I am confident my boys will perform very well and at leqst salvage a draw or victory, but the most important thing is for them to know that you need to be confident. The ex International they watch on Television are also human beings like them, so they should put fear aside".

Speaking further, Adebanjo said that for the Dubai tournament at the United Arab Emirates, the match will afford the coaching crew to select best legs in the team for the tournament.

"We are going to Dubai with just 18 players, matches as this would help in the selection process, because we are going to the middle East for business, not to make up the numbers", he said.

The match is however slated for 7:30am on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at the Alade Mini Stadium in Command Area of Lagos State.
