We need more women in Ogun Politics- Hon Bolanle Ajayi~NEWSEXTRA

A member of the Ogun state House of Assembly representing Yewa South State Constituency, Hon( Mrs) Bolanle Ajayi has called for more women participation in Ogun state political administration.
Hon Ajayi made this known while speaking on the state of the nation, the Ogun state perspective with some reporters in Ilaro.
According to her, the number of women in political positions in Ogun state is too small and not in accordance with the Beijing Conference agreement.

On what efforts has she made to address the imbalance on the floor of the house, she said, "I have introduced a bill in the house calling for more participation of women in the appointment positions in Ogun state to be at 50-50 level or most, 60% for men and 40% for women". She stated further that the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has equally responded to the bill with a promise to give more positions to women in his administration.

Meanwhile, as part of her efforts to complement the state government activities towards taking care of the needy during Covid-19 lockdown in the state, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi had distributed relief materials to members of her constituency in Yewa South LG area of Ogun state.
Hon Ajayi disclosed that, due to the imbalance in the level of economic development in Ogun West area, it would be very difficult for the aged and the poor to come to terms with the hardship that comes with the total lockdown as pronounced on the state by President Muhammadu Buhari.
