COVID-19: Lanre Ariyibi Foundation Distributes Foods In Abeokuta South




Lanre Ariyibi Foundation on Thursday distributed food items to more than 400 poorest people in Abeokuta South local government, Ogun State.

The Non_Govermental Organization in their little way showed hand of love to the less privileged people during this pandemic.

The foundation did not only gave out food, they also gave out free sanitizers to people in the order to prevent them  from COVID-19.

Meanwhile the founder of the foundation Hon lanre Ariyibi, said  he is doing this as part of efforts to support the state government to provide a means of survival for the less privileged people during this lockdown period.

He noted that Ariyibi Foundation will continue bro put smiles on people's faces anytime anyday.

He said " since the Government can not do it alone, the focus and Target of the foundation is to assist in eradicating poverty, reducing child's illiteracy and sensitising on hygiene in Nigeria.

One of the beneficiaries known as Ahmed Okanlawon described the gesture as a good development in the state, saying that they swing into action to help people before the lockdown.

He said he was thinking if what to eat during the lockdown and this foundation came at apoprate time, he added.


Another beneficiary identified as Mrs Onawale thanked the foundation for the job well done. She said as the foundation is putting smiles on many peoples faces in the state, and God will reward them multiple, she said.

Since Government can not do it all alone, the goal and focus of the Lanre Ariyibi foundation is to assist in eradicating poverty, reducing child's illiteracy and sensitising on proper hygiene in Nigeria.  

A graduate of mass communication from the famous The polytechnic lbadan he was born into the family of grassroots politician, Otunba Adesola Ariyibi of Lugbabi compound, lditawa, Ake, Abeokuta south Local Government area of Ogun state. 

He had his secondary education@African Church Grammar School in Abeokuta before proceeding to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic for his National Diploma. He got his Higher National Diploma from Ibadan poly before proceeding to Chester University of Pennsylvania in USA  to study psychology. He values education and further his study @Harris School of Business, linwood, New Jersey USA  where he got another  Diploma as Physician assistant.  

The foundation which has her mother company doing wonderfully well in United State is trying to reciprocate the good benefits for his people back home especially his constituency which recently distributed JAMB form to some students, got them registered, and organized coaching classes for the examination. The leadership of Abeokuta south local government, headed by Hon Somide Ayomide and  Alhaji Nurudeen Ayorinde  who is Secretary to Transition chairman of Abeokuta LG were aware of his laudable gesture in the community.

The philanthropist believes that education is the only vehicle to close the gap between the rich and the poor hence his focus on the development of the youth and the less privileged 

According to him the gesture is his contribution to the Egba tradition of education as the best legacy for a child.
